What to work through
A practical starting point.
Your setup depends on your sampling programs, existing systems and reporting requirements. These are the areas to discuss together.
Understand your workflow.
Outline your sample points, parameters, sampling schedules and users. Identify the operational questions and reporting requirements the system needs to support.
Configure the system and data sources.
Plan sample point groups, test methods, units, limits and access. Review existing spreadsheets, laboratory files and SCADA or LIMS sources to understand import and configuration requirements.
Prepare operators and administrators.
Work through the tasks people will perform on desktop and mobile, including entering results, reviewing validation messages and finding information. Training can focus on the workflows relevant to each role.
Work through reports and ongoing support.
Discuss the reports and filters you need, including custom report building where appropriate. Review how your team will get assistance with configuration and use of the system.
